TOP Mission Adaption
Adaption Event
When the TOP Coalition has conducted a set of agreed actions,
they will recap whether in their environment:
- the actions have provided the intended progress towards the goal,
- a change of plan is necessary to make progress
- side effects occurred that need to be addressed
Expected Outcome
The key outcome of the Adaption event is a common understanding on successes, failures, learnings, side effects, upcoming changes and next steps.
The event is successful when the coalition understands how to proceed.
Frequency
The Mission Adaptation recurs whenever a TOP Coalition has either conducted a set of agreed actions,
or discovered that these actions are unfeasible.
Event Agenda
Like all TOP Structure events, the mission adaption event does not need to follow any specific agenda in order to achieve its purpose. This sample agenda may serve as a guideline for arranging a mission adaption event.
Activity | Purpose |

Goal Reflection | What was the TOP goal? Did it change, were there progress or setbacks? How can learnings be utilized to be more successful in the next steps? |
Pivot or Persevere |
The coalition determines whether to persevere in further steps
towards the same TOP Goal or to pursue a new TOP Goal - or to call
their mission a success and adjourn. If the coalition determines that they will
